About Us

The North Platte Area Chamber & Development Corporation is a private, non-profit organization of business professionals who are dedicated to improving the economic and civic environment of the North Platte area while fostering the growth and prosperity of business.

This organization was formed on April 1, 2008, when the North Platte Area Chamber of Commerce and the Development Corporation of North Platte (DEVCO) merged together. The Chamber and DEVCO were two successful organizations working to improve and develop our community. After much thought, both Boards of Directors determined that these organizations would make extraordinary accomplishments working together as one entity.

Rich in History

The North Platte Chamber of Commerce serves a rich history in the community dating back to its origination on July 13, 1911, when several business men decided to join forces, create an organized effort to boost North Platte, and support business growth.

The North Platte Development Corporation (DEVCO) was first incorporated in 1957 as the primary agency charged with the retention, expansion, and attraction of business and industry in the region.

Serving the North Platte and Lincoln County region has been the top commitment of both organizations, and in 2008, both Board of Directors came together with thoughtful consideration. It was decided one combined organization and Board would serve the community best.
